July Playlist

July PlaylistIt’s that time again when I give you all a snippet into the music I’ve been singing along to for the past month. As I’ve probably mentioned for the gazillion-th time I went on holiday this month so it gave me the perfect opportunity to listen to some new music. One album I had been so desperate to listen to in full was Hozier’s album titled Hozier (genius or what!). I had heard Take Me To Church and Someone New a lot and fell in love with his amazing unique voice. I basically had the album on repeat while lounging by the pool on a daily basis and it really is an amazing album. My favourite song has to be In a Week, which also features vocalist Karen Cowley and other favourites include From Eden and Jackie and Wilson. It’s definitely a great album I recommend giving a listen! As well as the soft sounds of Hozier, I also enjoyed some upbeat songs from the likes of Rita Ora, 5SOS and Little Mix. I also reengaged my love for Mumford and Sons by listening to a couple of new tracks from their album which I still need to properly listen to in full but I am loving their sound (as usual).

What did you listen to this month?

Summer Tunes 2014

Summer is all about the feel-good factor and positivity and one thing that can make us happy is music. Whether you are planning a beach party, BBQ or just having sometime to yourself we all need a bit of music to get us in the mood. Below are some hits that I will be playing all summer long and I suggest you do too!

This song is a necessary for all summer playlists, The title of the song suggests it all really..  DJ Calvin Harris has added his vocals to new track Summer which is perfect for any summer party and is definitely got the feel-good factor.

This song by Sigma is a remix of a sample used in Bound 2 by Kanye West and this has to be one of my favorite tunes at the moment. I am not much of a Kayne fan so Bound 2 does not really appeal to me however the intro is pretty good and UK group Sigma jumped on that bandwagon and created a remix of the ‘good bit’ and I must say in my opinion its far superior to Bound 2 and works a lot better.  This is worth a listen!

And Calvin Harris has also been busy on this song too, he wrote and produced I will never let you down for girlfriend Rita Ora and its a catchy number perfect for summer.. and oh how I am loving the pink trench coat!

And last but not least is the very talented singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran who is back with his first single of his new album ‘multiply’ which is fab btw! Sing is quite different for Ed with a Justin Timberlake-esque style to it which is down to Pharrell who produced the track however it still has Ed written all over it and its incredibly catchy!

London Fashion Week:Burberry Prorsum Fall 2013 RTW

So London Fashion Week has finally came to a close and the most anticipated show of course was Burberry Prorsum that took to the runway yesterday with many celebrities such as Rita Ora, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Kate Beckinsale taking to the front row. As usual Christopher Bailey did a spectacular job with this collection and the whole show overall was up to a high level as it always is. The collection showed traditional and classic designs inspired by Burberry’s history including the classic Trench coat which is always making an appearance but were given a modern update with leather, rubber and even a bit of animal print. The collection also featured other animal inspired prints  and heart prints to bring in a little sassy to the show. Overall a fantastic show and If I could then i would be buying everything haha!  Here below are some shots from the runway show. Are you a fan of this collection ?
