Pinterest: Coats and Sneakers Trend
I would say that I’m not really one to follow trends or have a specific style role model that I copy, I just tend to do my own thing. However there is one ‘trend’ that I have spotted constantly on Pinterest over the last while and I’m loving it!
If there is two pieces of clothing that I just love its a good coat and of course a beloved pair of trainers. Of course put them together: ultimate dream team! There is just something ever so cool about pairing a sophisticated long camel coat with a pair of sneakers. I have been loving this combo and my daily go-to is always my beloved New Look camel coat with my even more beloved maroon Adidas Gazelles.
However when you get caught up in this trend-loving it has only went and increased my wardrobe wishlist further. I now have my eye on a couple other pairs of trainers namely black and white Nike Roche Runs and a pair of black and white Adidas Gazelles (yes I do like my monochrome!). Its a weird smart-casual combo but I’m loving it and maybe the addition of a camel trench coat can take this look right into Spring!
What do you think? Are you a fan of the Coat and Sneakers look?
Valentino RTW Fall 2015
Fashion Week is finally over. It does feel like such a long time with so many shows over the four cities. Before we say goodbye though it is time to look at one last show from Paris Fashion Week. This time it is in the form of Valentino a show that I always look forward to seeing. I really took to Valentino over the past while, they just seem to create such simplistic but beautiful clothing. This collection followed the same concept.
Now this show was a major talking point and you may be familiar with it already. It wasn’t about the fashion this time, eyes were focused on the appearance of two familiar faces at the end of the show. Zoolander actors Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller made an appearance in the show in full Zoolander character as they announced a sequel to the original film. The reception of the audience was incredible and definitely added a bit of fun into fashion week.
Nevertheless, this collection has other memorable factors that made this show a winner. There was a strong classic monochromatic style running through the show particularly at the start with black and white checkered and striped pieces as well as plain over-sized pieces. Knits and fur also made their way onto the runway as well as lace and leather details. Things started to get a bit brighter midway and towards the end with multi-colored prints featuring butterflies and flowers as well as the odd dragon (why not?). The show featured many beautiful embellished details and simplistic structured silhouettes. Another great collection for Valentino. *loud applause* Check out the rest of the collection here.

Elie Saab RTW Fall 2015
If there is one show I get the most excited at seeing at Fashion Week it is always without a doubt Elie Saab. Elie Saab is known for his beautiful detailed gowns worn by a host of celebrities at red carpet events. Lets just say if I could only ever own one piece of designer clothing, an Elie Saab dress would be top of the list every time! Every collection has impressed me incredibly with his range of exquisite clothing and this Fall 2015 collection seemed pretty good too…
There was no doubting over whether this was a collection for Fall as the show opened to an array of dark shades with all-black styles and the odd splash of khaki green. The start of the show was very sophisticated and echoed a smart work wear style with a slight nod to military style. For this part of the show the focus was on the structure and silhouette of the pieces before things started to get a tad more creative. Flashes of blue and teal shades appeared alongside floral and forest like prints.
The style then changed from work style to more glamour and femininity. Floral patterns, lacy patterns and embellished details starting to take shape on the runway. This is when the real Elie Saab we know and love came back to life. Embellished brighter toned gowns started to form the end of the show. There really is no other way to describe the pieces than stunning, as usual each and every piece was a beauty. If I’m honest, it wasn’t my favourite Elie Saab collection but it was still a dreamy collection! Check out the rest of the collection here.

February Favourites
I don’t think I can quite believe that its March already! I think thats my starting line for every favourites posts but hey time goes fast! Anyway if you seen my favourites last month you may recall my lack of makeup but now since I’m back at uni and have some sort of life now I have been picking up a few newbies over the month and getting back to my usual makeup routine.
The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil – You may recall seeing this before in a review I did which you can check out here. I love this cleanser. Long are the days of removing my makeup with wipes and a damp cloth (extravagant, I know!). This cleanser is perfect, it removes every trace of my makeup and makes my skin feel fab as well as being a good affordable option at £10!
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Red Pepper – When it comes to liquid lipsticks I have always been put off. I don’t like the idea of putting something wet and sticky on my lips which is why I keep my lip-gloss use to a minimum and why I never really wanted to purchase this in the first place. As usual though due to phenomenal hype by so many bloggers I caved and bought it and I love it. It is super long lasting and is such a beautiful bright red which is great for daily wear.
Benefit Roller Lash – I apologize in advance if you are sick of hearing about this little gem which is Benefit’s new release. I don’t want to say too much as I may touch upon this one a little later but its probably one of the best mascaras I’ve ever used! It really does what it says on the tin!
ASOS earrings – Earrings are something I wear on a daily basis (oh the irony of not wearing any right now) and I always get sick of wearing the same basic boring earrings all the time until I seen what asos had to offer. I seen Suzie from Hello October mention these earrings in a haul and had to snap them up! They are just so different and I have had so many compliments on them, they are just fab and I have my eye on a few more from asos!
Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover – When it comes to nail polish removing its just no fun! I hate the tedious and boring job of having to remove nail polish that just wont budge. I heard a lot about this remover and picked it up and oh my has my life transformed! This really is magic, you simply stick your nail in the pot and give it a twist around and out it comes with no sign of nail polish, wow!

Burberry Prorsum RTW Fall 2015
When it comes to London Fashion Week there is always one show I cannot wait to see, in fact its a show I am probably the most excited about for the whole of fashion week over all four cities. Nothing quite comes close to the show that Christopher Bailey puts on for Burberry Prorsum. Oh the things that I would do to get the chance to attend a show, a girl can dream, right!? As usual there was no disappointment in this collection and only added countless pieces to my “if I get rich wishlist”.
The collection was appropriately named “Patchwork, Pattern and Prints” and it was just that. There was quite a 60s boho chic vibe from the show with fringed ponchos and floral designs that had the hippy era written all over them. An Indian theme was also echoed throughout the collection through fringed details sported on skirts to boots and the use of suede was also apparent. Of course being a Burberry show there was indeed the classic trench coats which were seen featuring a range of floral designs.
Makeup wise, it was kept to a minimum. Models donned a fresh faced look with a soft smokey eye and nude lips. Overall, as usual another incredible show from Christopher Bailey and my favourite Fall 2015 collection from fashion week (so far). Check out the rest of the collection here.

Marchesa RTW Fall 2015
New York Fashion Week has officially wrapped. Before we leave the city that never sleeps its time to look back at another show from NYFW. This time its a designer with luxurious and the most stunning gowns that I’m sure we would all love to have in our wardrobes. It is of course Marchesa. Known for their extravagant and beautiful gowns made perfect for any red carpet, this collection does not disappoint.
This collection had a very elegant and feminine feel with a vision of the 1920s running through it. The beaded and embellished gowns and tops would not look out of place in the 20s era and the looks definitely had the old Hollywood style glamour theme. The hair and makeup also matched with the models sporting a soft curled look and a sultry feminine dark berry lip.
Marchesa is known for their floral designs and their wide tulle silhouettes. These norms did not escape in this collection. There was a heavy focus on poppies throughout the show with many looks incorporating the embellished floral design as well as following a red and black agenda. In addition there was also no escaping of their usual fuller sized dresses with the odd couple of sizeable gowns but other than that the collection was primarly sleek and embellished to the nines. Well Done Georgina and Keren! Check out the rest of the collection here.

Hervé Léger by Max Azria RTW Fall 2015
Before I head straight into the high fashion craziness that is fashion week I just wanted to say a big thank you to all my lovely wordpress followers as I have just reached 300 followers, so thank you so much 🙂
Anyway, February only means one thing. Nope not Valentines Day or Pancake Day, nope it is of course the start of fashion week! Fashion Week for Fall 2015 finally kicked off this week in New York and I will be sharing some of the highlights here. Now if I uttered the words ‘Herve Leger’ there is probably one thing you and most people are all thinking: the bandage dress. Herve Leger is famed for their figure-hugging bodycon dresses which were quite the thing a few years back with celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and pretty much everyone rocking one. Times have slightly moved on though as that trend slowly passed.
The bandage dress however still holds a place in the Herve Leger collection but with a slight twist and a much better one. Many dresses stuck to the similar bandage dress design with embellished features. The collection was quite varied from the biker embellished look to the full on prints. There were bold kaleidoscopic style prints and much more toned down monochrome and darker heavy embellished style dresses. Instead of the usual tight-fitting silhouette, this collection has a varied style with a-lines and peplum hemlines. The typical bandage dress may have had its day but full on prints and change are here to stay! Check out the rest of the collection here.
