Yesterday saw David Koma’s runway debut for Mugler at Paris Fashion Week. He described it as being a surreal moment as he took on the creative director job. The clothes had a very David Koma feel about them, they were all very sleek and had a slight edge to them with cropped designs and cut-outs. Koma stuck to mostly a monochromatic palette with this collection and quite simplistic silhouettes. There was also a sports vibe about the collection which seems to be popular for SS15 as it was also spotted at collections such as Topshop with mesh details and baring midriffs. Some may think Koma was simply playing it too safe with his simple designs but with wearable designs I say simple but effective 🙂
