YSL Rouge Volupté Lipstick 01 Nude Beige

I don’t think there is a lipstick packaging more gorgeous than the YSL offerings. The gold tubes of luxury are quite the dream to look at. After picking one up last year I had to get my hands on another and with a love of nude lips developing I knew I needed one particular shade. 01 Nude Beige is a pretty popular shade and after giving it a try I can definitely understand the popularity.

When I first got this I was a little worried about the shade. As I said I love a good nude pink lip but nothing that washes you out or gives you that dreaded ‘foundation lips’ look. Nude lipsticks look different on everyone and with myself having very pale skin I was a little unsure on how it would turn out. However luckily I found a perfect nude lip. The colour is just right and paired with a gloss on top it creates a beautiful everyday lip colour.

The formula of these lipsticks is what makes them. The YSL lipsticks are probably the best formula of lipstick I have ever used (so far). The Rouge Volupté lipsticks have such a creamy and silky smooth formula which makes it glide easily over the lips. It makes your lips feel super soft and moisturised while not compromising on pigmentation. If you have used any of the lipsticks from the line you may be familiar with a slight melon scent however I do not find it overpowering or off putting in any way. Also, as it does have a rather creamy texture the lasting power isn’t the best although it’s not disastrously bad and being such a beautiful lipstick who would really mind having to take out the stunning gold bullet for re-application!
