The Bag Wishlist

I’ve always been a bag kinda gal at heart, bags over shoes anyday! My dreams of owning a designer bag have existed for too many years now and I think it’s time I did something about that, right!? Being a Leo, I do have expensive taste and I do like a little bit of luxury so whilst a designer bag may require a good few wage slips, it is still something I am happy to invest in. You either get it or you don’t but for me it’s the kinda thing I like. Having got hooked onto luxury style YouTube channels which I mentioned here, I am ready to take the leap into saving for my first designer bag. So what is it going to be, well I thought I would show you some (yes just some) of the bags that have topped my wishlist!

Starting with the bag of dreams, a Chanel Classic Flap. Every bag lover needs a Chanel, right!? Now the price for Chanel is eye-watering and sadly it tends to increase year on year making it near impossible to buy one. However hopefully one day, whilst it is not on my immediate list (for obvious reasons) I will be able to visit a Chanel store in Paris (yup, going all out!) and pick up my very own. Then I will be one step closer to being LC, life goals right there!

Another bag of dreams that I just need in my life is the Saint Laurent Sac De Jour. This bag is simply beautiful, black grained leather possibly in size small please. Again it is one of the more pricier options on my list but having this bag would make me complete. Hopefully I can save up for this one once I graduate as a special treat cause you gotta treat yo self.

Now I mentioned that I prefer my bags over shoes but if there was one pair of shoes I would like to get my hands on then it would be the classic Valentino Rockstuds. Of course with those I need a bag to match, it’s only right! I adore the Valentino Rockstud Lock Shoulder Bags, particularly the light nude pink-y shade which would match my shoes obviously! The bag just looks so beautifully elegant with the gold hardware, I need!

I usually tend to avoid seasonal pieces and trend-led items and I would particularly advice to when opting for a spendy purchase however I have my eye on one. The Gucci Dionysus Shoulder bag is a classic but I have never really been a fan of the whole Gucci monogram style however I adore some of their Floral design options. It is a bit different and totally a statement piece but it is so beautiful! I have been actually really impressed by some the newer Gucci styles recently too!

Lastly, a much cheaper option than the rest, the Celine Trio. I adore the whole minimalistic Celine aesthetics and I just love how simple but chic this bag is. Everyone needs a good crossbody small style bag and this is such a great option. The three compartments is also incredibly handy but I can imagine pretty annoying when you have to get your bag searched! A good all rounder though!

I tend to have moments where I am really into shopping around for new clothing bits for my wardrobe and other times when I am not really feeling inspired enough for a wardrobe refresh. Currently I am feeling it when it comes to clothes, I don’t know whether it’s the upcoming change in season or from having cleaned out my wardrobe that has sparked this but I definitely have a few pieces that are on my radar. I do have quite a few more investment pieces in the line up but I am looking to make some high quality purchases as I find the perfect staples for my wardrobe.

Starting off with Urban Outfitters, I have developed a love for UO lately, something I am sure I have made clear on my blog before. A lot of their pieces are a little more expensive but the styles are all so pretty and the quality is great too. I love a good casual tee and I love how cute this little strawberry tee is. Definitely one I will be picking up!

With Spring arriving, it is no better time for a good trench coat. I love the trench style and have forever longed to own a good quality camel trench. Whilst Burberry may be out of my budget for the time being (a girl can dream right!?), Zara will always remain queen of outerwear. Their coats and jackets are always great quality and totally reliable pieces as well as being truly gorgeous. I love this cotton trench which looks so much more expensive than it is. Definitely a great investment for the new season!

I have grew a strong love recently for Whistles. Their range does have a much steeper price tag but they have such gorgeous staple pieces. I have my eye on two tops from the brand, the first being this cute black knit with lace details. I seen a very similar top in Reiss but at a much higher cost so I was happy to see this at a much more affordable rate! The other is a little different, again another lightweight black knit but this time with cut-out shoulder details for something just a bit different. This would be such a nice option for an evening out!

Lastly, how could I do a clothing wishlist without a bit of ASOS. Firstly, I have been loving the whole pinafore trend lately. It took me a while to find a good affordable option that looked flattering but this one from ASOS seems to fit the bill. I think it will look great for everyday wear with casual tees for something a little different! Definitely something I need my hands on soon! The other two things from ASOS are very similar pairs of shoes from the brand Dune. I totally have to blame Kate from Kate La Vie for this as these shoes are all I can think about lately! The first being flat shoes in a gorgeous white and beige shade perfect for spring and super classy. These remind me so much of the Valentino Rockstud shoes (which are super dreamy!) with the studded design so a much cheaper alternative is well up my street! The other pair is basically the same although in heel form so would look great for going out.

Valentino Fall 2015 RTW Zoolander

Valentino Fall 2015 RTW Ben StillerFashion Week is finally over. It does feel like such a long time with so many shows over the four cities. Before we say goodbye though it is time to look at one last show from Paris Fashion Week. This time it is in the form of Valentino a show that I always look forward to seeing. I really took to Valentino over the past while, they just seem to create such simplistic but beautiful clothing. This collection followed the same concept.

Now this show was a major talking point and you may be familiar with it already. It wasn’t about the fashion this time, eyes were focused on the appearance of two familiar faces at the end of the show. Zoolander actors Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller made an appearance in the show in full Zoolander character as they announced a sequel to the original film. The reception of the audience was incredible and definitely added a bit of fun into fashion week.

Nevertheless, this collection has other memorable factors that made this show a winner. There was a strong classic monochromatic style running through the show particularly at the start with black and white checkered and striped pieces as well as plain over-sized pieces. Knits and fur also made their way onto the runway as well as lace and leather details. Things started to get a bit brighter midway and towards the end with multi-colored prints featuring butterflies and flowers as well as the odd dragon (why not?). The show featured many beautiful embellished details and simplistic structured silhouettes. Another great collection for Valentino. *loud applause* Check out the rest of the collection here.

Met Ball 2013:Best Dressed

Now its time for the best dressed… So here are my top 3 from the Met Ball 2013. What do you think ? Who was your Best Dressed ? Credit to bettyconfidential and Daily Mail (Getty,Startracks/Rex) for images.

Cara DelevingneFirstly, Cara Delevingne looked fantastic in Burberry. Cara has nailed on the punk theme here with this beautiful studded gown which features a plunging neckline. Cara has also went for a smoky eye look to add to the look and overall has successfully managed to look sensational with a bit of punk.

Anne HathawayNext is Les Miserables star Anne Hathaway. First of all I must say Anne looks great with the blonde hair and suits her very well. The blonde hair and dark eyes looks great in achieving the rebellious punk look. Anne looked great in a black vintage Valentino gown with feathered sleeves and mesh panels showing a bit of skin. Anne has clearly stuck to the punk here and looks great.

Sienna MillerLast but not least is Sienna Miller, Sienna rocked Burberry with a stunning white gown made complete with the killer gold studded biker jacket. Sienna has nailed the punk look complete with a studded silver headband, studded earrings and a small studded clutch. Overall Sienna owns the punk theme!

Paris Fashion Week:Valentino Fall 2013 RTW

This collection sprung to myself as quite traditional looking with the sharp collars and shirt style dresses but with a modern twist with shorter lengths and bold prints. The traditional style of the dresses gives them that exquisite look and as if they are to be worn by those who are up-market or a little ‘posh’. As Fashion Week has approached its end this season its clear to see what trends have been created such as the popular prints and lace which both make appearances in this collection. Overall I have to say I really like this collection and the traditional look of it is something that particularly draws my eye to it especially the first dress from the show that I personally wouldn’t mind wearing .. Here below are some shots from the runway show. Are you a fan of this collection ? To see all the runway shots go to Style.com. Credit to Style.com for images.

A-Z of Fashion. C- Couture

The third letter of my A-Z of fashion is of course C which is for Couture. It may not be a need to us but if we never had couture then there would be a huge gap in the fashion world. Couture which is otherwise known as Haute Couture which is french for high dressmaking as its high quality. A list of designers release a haute couture line including Christian Dior, Elie Saab ( My Personal Favorite) , Valentino etc . Without couture some of those A-list stars would not have wore those show-stopping pieces at the Oscars ! P.S Below is a dress from the Givenchy Spring 2011 Couture Collection . The worst of the Royal Wedding fashion

Well we have seen the good but with every good comes a bad and here i present you with the Royal Wedding Disasters and trust me its painful. First on the list is Tara Palmer Tomkinson who looked insane in this blue ensemble i really wonder what she was thinking when she bought this and the same goes with the hat it literally takes over her head and points to her nose so she must be pointing something out..  Another disaster was of course the unforgettable Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice who stole the headlines in their wacky outfits. Eugenie went for Vivienne Westwood Haute Couture with a Philip Treacy hat. The top looked far too tight on her and it didn’t do anything for her and her sister wasn’t much better who went with Valentino haute couture  and another Philip Treacy hat which stole the show for its insane design with people referring it to an octopus on her head. The last on the list is Labour leader Ed Milliband’s wife Justine who wore an all navy number with a crazy hat. This outfit did absoutley nothign to flatter her slim figure and was just another fashion flop! Who do you think was the worst dressed ?
