I have recently been going crazy over my new tartan plimsolls from River Island. I had been looking at buying a pair of these cute and comfy plimsolls for a while but I was indecisive between plain black or the bold tartan. And then I decided of course I am going to get the tartan ones, perfect for fall. However I did nearly buy both pairs.. oh. Anyway I picked these up on a great deal, getting them for 20% off the £20 price tag for a sweet £16 all due to the neat 20% offer from last month’s Elle magazine. I have been wearing these pretty much everyday since I bought them and they are very comfortable and just add that finishing touch to my outfit. I will be honest .. I am still considering that second pair of plimsolls!
So are you crazy for plimsolls like me?
P.S I recently started uni so I do apologize if my posting is lacking occasionally, I will try my best 🙂
Think Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain, yes indeed the Punk spirit is back. The Grunge look has made a massive impact this season after featuring on several collections including Versace, Chanel and Isabel Marant and now it has hit everywhere making it a huge trend for Fall. Its time to raid your 90s wardrobe for Biker boots, leather jackets and trousers to fit in with the crowd this season. Below are some pieces from the high street featuring the grunge/punk look that has been so popular recently. What do you think of this trend? Follow the blog on twitter @5tyled

This months pick of the month is this cute orange wool check skirt from Topshop. This skirt is bang on trend with its tartan print which is huge at the moment and also for its use in wool which has been popular in the shops this season too. This skirt has already been spotted on celebrities Ariana Grande and Perrie of Little Mix and is available from Topshop at a price of £38/$76. This skirt would look great teamed with a white shirt or a woolly jumper for an even cosier look. So are you a fan of this skirt?

We are fully kicking into Fall as we reach mid-October (this year has went crazy fast) with nights getting colder and darker. The shops are now full of winter coats and all the necessities for fall. One trend in particular that has taken over this season is Tartan! Tartan, Tartan, Tartan – its everywhere! Tartan was first spotted back on the runway in collections for Celine, Moschino, Preen etc. and has now made a full impact on the high street. Now is the time to take out your highland side or your punk rocker look with a wide variety of pieces available. Below are some pieces from the high street which incorporate the tartan trend, hover over each image for prices. What do you think of this trend? Follow the blog on twitter @5tyled

Fashion Week is moving swiftly on as we have now approached Milan! One of the collections to hit the runway this week was Moschino. This collection had an interesting theme running through it with a Tartan highland inspired look and an equestrian inspiration. The collection seems rather unusual and quirky to say the least but did contain the usual Moschino monochrome which is always making an appearance. Compared to previous collections this one is very ‘out there’ if you know what I mean and seems to be too much for a Ready to wear collection in my opinion. Here below are some shots from the runway show. Are you a fan of this collection ? To see all the runway shots go to Style.com. Credit to Style.com for images.
