Louis Vuitton: Fall 2014 RTW

Fashion Week is officially over but lets take a look back at one last show from Paris this week. The Louis Vuitton collection took to the runway on Wednesday and was highly anticipated as it was Nicolas Ghesquière’s debut for the brand. The pressure was definitely on for Ghesquière having succeeded Marc Jacobs who has built the Louis Vuitton brand over the last 14 years. The collection was packed with A-line style designs which would not look out of place in a 60s wardrobe. Typical darker fall colors of camel, burnt orange and greys graced the show aswell as being packed with leather and suede which the designer used in many interesting ways. The collection was rather toned down from previously under Jacobs however it carried that simple but chic style that worked and created a great debut for Ghesquière.What do you think of this collection? Elie Saab: Fall 2014 RTW

Fashion Week is nearly over but for now we are still in Paris for the final Fall 2014 shows. Yesterday, red carpet favorite Elie Saab took to the runway. The collection was typical Saab style with stunning sparkling, plunge and chiffon gowns. Of course however Saab introduced new twists to his collection one being his choice of color with darker shades of burgundy, plum and a rose shade all completed with an ombre effect. The collection also featured the use of velvet as well as print with a soft floral design based on a black background. Overall another beautiful and slightly different collection from Saab. Moschino: Fall 2014 RTW

Milan Fashion Week came to a close this week but before we travel to the city of love for the rest of Fall 2014 here is one last look at MFW were Moschino took to the runway. This collection was the debut for designer Jeremy Scott and it’s safe to say he well and truly put his own trademark stamp on his debut collection for Moschino. Typical of Scott, inspiration for the collection came from popular culture with McDonald’s, Coco Chanel, Spongebob and candy inspired looks. While the collection heavily featured Scott’s typical style the Moschino image was not lost and still the same old loud and edgy style. An unusual but fun and playful collection and what can we say, eat your heart out! What do you think of this collection? The rest of the collection can be viewed at Style.com.

Gucci: Fall 2014 RTW

Milan Fashion Week has been ongoing recently and last week the Gucci collection for Fall 2014 took to the runway. The collection was neat and polished with well tailored casual pieces without damaging Gucci’s trademark glamorous style. There was a strong inspiration from the sixties with short lengths and a-line cuts. Pastel shades also made an appearance in the collection with light pink, blues etc which seems to be popular for Fall 2014. Overall a very pretty collection and another strong form from Gucci. Burberry Prorsum: Fall 2014 RTW

London Fashion Week is coming to a close but before we jet set to Milan, one of the most anticipated shows from Fashion week happened yesterday which was of course Burberry Prorsum. Every season at Fashion Week, Christopher Bailey puts on a magnificent show and this season was no exception. Every season the Burberry brand seems to grow and take new risks with Bailey able to push the boat out a little each time. Instead of a typical collection full of different styled trench coats we are now seeing a change to oversized shearling trimmed jackets, capes and wrap dresses as well as the occasional blanket. The collection strongly featured prints of hand painted work that showed a slight cultural inspiration. The collection overall was sophisticated and classy with long lengths and high waisted styles. Holly Fulton: Fall 2014 RTW

We are already in the midst of London Fashion Week with a number of top designers taking their collections to the runway. Holly Fulton showed her latest designs yesterday which I shall say is one of my favorite collections for Fall 2014 so far. The collection is delicate and soft with a light palette of pastel shades, metallics and feminine prints. A heavy focus on the collection was the hand designed graphics that Fulton used in her designs. The collection was feminine and sophisticated with midi length hemlines. The pale shades and simplicity of the collection is a major plus for me and overall Fulton put on a fantastic show! What do you think of this collection? Nanette Lepore: Fall 2014 RTW

New York Fashion Week came to a close on Friday but before we move on to London here is a look at the Nanette Lepore Fall 2014 collection that took to the runway. The collection stuck to the typically obvious Fall related colours with burgundy, plum and gray having a strong impact. The use of purples, cinched in waists and short hemlines created a strong sense of femininity while tailored office wear looks and oversized outerwear brought a splash of menswear esque style to the collection. Preferring a more feminine approach, the first half of the collection shone for me with pinks and purples and tribal like prints used for a variety of cute dresses. Rebecca Taylor: Fall 2014 RTW

New York Fashion Week has officially kicked off and while we may be leaving Fall behind us, it’s time to look ahead to next season. Rebecca Taylor took to the runway yesterday with her Fall collection. The collection was made up of a mix of light shades of soft grays and blues and darker tones of harsh grays and blacks. Despite slouchy silhouettes and oversized looks suggesting a more manly approach Taylor still sticks to femininity within her collection with delicate colours and fabrics as well as a sophisticated look and short lengths. Fashion Week already seems to be doing well with what is in my eyes a lovely collection from Taylor with the right mix between menswear inspiration and femininity. What do you think of this collection? The rest of the collection can be viewed at Style.com.

Elie Saab: Spring 2014 RTW

Its quite sad at this time as Fashion Week is coming to a close however usually in these last few days Paris puts on some spectacular shows. Yesterday saw the prestigious Elie Saab collection take to the runway which has been the moment I have been looking forward to the most during fashion week. This man does it again, again and again, there is never a time were I could fault an Elie Saab collection in any way as each piece is always tailored and embellished to absolute perfection and this collection is no exception. It was described as ‘A Lace Garden’ and it matched that to a tee with rosy pinks, flower embellishments and a floral print. There was a nice variety within the collection with cute flowing summer dresses, red carpet looks and formal work-wear. The collection was nicely complete with a selection of black lace dresses somehow taking on the underwear for outerwear trend. Overall a beautiful collection! Below are some pieces from the collection. What do you think of this collection? The rest of the collection can be viewed at Style.com
