September Favourites

IMG_4296 IMG_4297 IMG_4298 IMG_4299 IMG_4300

I can’t be the only one who is struggling to believe that its October already! Where does time go!? Anyway here are my favourites from last month.

River Island Dark Red Mini Satchel – I adore this bag! I picked it up from River Island for £20 in this very autumnal red colour and its the perfect size for going to gigs and places where I don’t need a lot of things to carry about. River Island also have a few other colours of this bag as well as the larger versions which are all to die for.

Urban Decay Naked Palette – There is no surprise here! I picked up this incredibly raved about palette a while back on a special offer that I couldn’t refuse and like everyone else I fell in love. The shades are all amazingly pigmented and all wearable. I have the 3rd one as well now and I now only need the second one to complete my collection. A palette you NEED in your collection!

Mac Shy Girl – Believe it or not but this was my first Mac lipstick ever and the best lipstick I can put my name to. It is a beautiful creamy nude pink shade and the perfect nude lipstick which doesn’t wash you out. If you don’t have this in your collection its a must, the perfect day time lipstick that goes with everything and perfect with a bit of clear gloss 🙂

New Look Brown Chelsea Boots – If you read my Chelsea Boots edit then you would have seen these boots in which I mentioned that I already owned and I love them! Chelsea boots are a huge trend this season and I love the style of them. I usually purchase black boots so I thought I would take a change and go for brown this time and I am loving it, its the perfect fall look and is great for everyday wear with jeans and a flannel shirt. Also at £24.99 you can’t go wrong! 🙂

Fall 2014: Chelsea Boots

Chelsea BootIt is getting quite cold now so the Fall feeling is very much so kicking in! Another one of my favourite trends for this season is the Chelsea Boot. Again like the Boyfriend coat, Chelsea boots have been everywhere recently so I would be surprised if you haven’t seen them about. Chelsea boots were huge back in the 1960s (which is a major trend this season!) and they are distinguished by their typical elastic side panel and the tabs on the back. I recently purchased a lovely brown pair from New Look which I have listed below, and also some of my other favourites. The boots above are also both from New Look.

Fall 2014: The Boyfriend coat

Boyfriend coatIf you haven’t seen the ‘Boyfriend coat’ then you must have been living in a cave for the past month as this has been the latest huge trend for this season. The typical winter coat has seen an update this year with oversized mannish style coats that ooze in sophistication and class. They are the perfect coats for winter; all snuggly and warm as well as being stylish and can be worn with pretty much anything for an effortless but chic look. I already have my eyes on one particular jacket from Topshop which I have listed below amongst many of my other favourites. Coats above are from New Look, House of Fraser (Dorothy Perkins) and Topshop and also check out the Pick of the Month for September which is also another of my favourite boyfriend coats.

Pick of the Month:September 2014

New Look £54.99I’m still finding it quite hard to believe that we are nearing the last few months of 2014 and I’m now looking at coats *gasp*. Anyway my excitement over coats has made this beauty the Pick of the month for September. This Pale Pink Boyfriend Coat is from New Look and priced at a okay price of £54.99 (don’t forget student discount!). Pastels are here to stay for Fall *applause* particularly pale pinks and blues which are everywhere and I want need a pastel cosy coat for the cold weather ahead and this coat is perfect for me 🙂 The coat has a boyfriend fit so it is oversized which is a bonus for being all cosy and its also available in pastel blue as well. Please note that this coat is only in the Petite section, sorry to all the lanky tall people out there but there is many other alternatives from New Look and other places such as ASOS.

August Favourites

IMG_3599Can you believe its September already! I felt like summer only began and now its reaching the end, crazy! Anyway its time to recap on my favourite items of last month. August has been one crazy month but I did celebrate my birthday and go shopping (a lot!).

IMG_3610This month I finally got my hands on the Maybelline color tattoo eyeshadows which are fantastic. I got three shades but my favourite has to be On and On Bronze which is a neat shimmery bronze colour. I recently did a review on the three shadows which you can check out here. The shadow is highly pigmented and long lasting so if you haven’t already then I suggest you pick this up!

IMG_3612Another item I got in my recent haul was the Soap and Glory Supercat eyeliner. I am going to put my hands up and admit I am terrible with eyeliner. I have tried every medium of eyeliner available from pencil to liquid to gel and I have still not mastered the winged eyeliner. However I thought I would try Supercat which is a felt tip style eyeliner which I had not previously tried. This has to be the best eyeliner I have ever used, its so easy to apply and great for people like me who are hopeless with eyeliner. I can now say that I am getting a lot better with the winged eyeliner look 🙂

IMG_3617As I stated earlier I celebrated my birthday in August and I received this cute pastel necklace from a friend. I had been looking for a nice big jeweled necklace for a while now at a good price but I kept holding it off so it was nice to receive this as a gift and even better that pastels are here to stay for fall so I can continue to keep this beauty on!

IMG_3619And last but not least I also got this bag for my birthday. I had been looking for a new bag for a while (well to be honest I am always looking for new bags!) and my mum kindly bought me this cute colour block bag from New Look. Its a great size for all my essentials and comes with a handy adjustable shoulder strap.

Pick of the Month:August 2014

This months pick of the month is this cute White Grid Print Backpack from New look. Backpacks have been a huge trend recently and even though I haven’t quite yet jumped on the bandwagon I now have a reason to with this cute bag. The monochrome print is also huge for next season so this bag is perfect for autumn and is great for out in the day whether its shopping, university or just a stroll and it’s a nice fashionable addition to any outfit. The bag is valued at £22.99 and definitely worth it. Are you a fan of the backpack trend?

We are now at the letter F and that means only one thing – Flats! While we all have a love for the heels you have to admit there is nothing better than slipping into a pair of ballet flats 🙂 They can be worn with almost anything and look great even if it is for a night out. Below are a few of my favorite flats, if you hover over each picture it reveals the cost of them and where to buy them so enjoy! Do you like wearing flats ? As Summer is approaching, the shops and online shopping are getting even busier with more and more people finding clothing for summer especially if they are planning on jetting off somewhere sunny. One particluar piece of clothing that has popular demand for summer is the Bralet top which made a big impact on the Dolce & Gabbana S/S 2012 runway (as seen above). This trend has been very popular with celebrities including Selena Gomez and Katy Perry aswell as being splashed all over most high street stores. These tops can be very flattering if you have the right figure and can be teamed nicely with skirts (as seen above) but not necessary of the same design. I have picked 4 lovely bralet tops from the High street which you can see below.  P.S If you hover over the images below you can find out the price and where to buy it and Credit to Topshop, Missguided.co.uk, New Look , River Island and Style.com for images. Are you brave enough to wear the bralet ?
