The Italian favorite Missoni took to Milan Fashion Week yesterday with a spectacular show. The show featured a range of Monochrome looks which appeared to the start and end of the runway, there was also a burst of colour in between with pretty much every color in the rainbow appearing from pinks to oranges to blues to greens. Many of the designs featured geometric patterns which are typical of Missoni and a space-type galaxy theme was common in this collection with swirly patterns in a mixed colour approach which was my favorite from the collection especially the coral/pink/orange designs were the colors were just lovely. A few swimwear and beach outfits appeared as well as some shimmer bringing the collection together. Overall i really liked this collection and as i said previously i really liked the space type theme that ran through the collection with the pretty color palette. Below are some pictures from the show. The rest of the collection can be seen at Style.com. What do you think of this collection ? Follow on twitter @4everfash . Credit to Style.com for images.
So far Fashion Week has showed a lot of dark looks for fall but Moschino has showed a very different side with bright yellows , reds and blues among the collection. The collection had a lot of colourful winter coats as well as hints of black leather and a variety of mini dresses and skirts. Go to Style.com for the rest of the collection. God fashion week is flying past so quickly, its already Milan Fashion Week. Gucci took to the runway yesterday with a very dark vibe for fall with velvet designs and plum and dark greens making numerous showings . The collection was described as ‘romantic’ but with a darkness to it and not a cute romantic side but more glamourous from the plush materials and styles. Favorite Looks of MFW
My favorite collection has to be Moschino Cheap and Chic. Its just so fun and childlike with its interesting and unique designs. I love it !!
My favorite underdog in MFW had to be Antonio Marras. Its not a designer i had heard of but i loved the collection and that is way it made my favorite underdog. I loved the colours and the prints it was a fun but grown-up collection which i really liked.
My favorite trend isn’t just appeared at MFW but it also made appearances at LFW and NYFW and its ladylike. Yip ladylike! It made quite a lot of appearances and it also showed a hint of it at the Antonio Marras show which was my Favorite Underdog ( above) The trend isn’t as you may think it as, its ladylike with a modern twist so forget the old grandma pencil skirt its took a new but refreshing twist ! 🙂
What do you think ? What was your favorite of Milan Fashion Week ?
P.S All above opinions are my own. We all have different opinions on things so no one needs to agree with me but i hoped you like it 🙂
Milan Fashion Week is an exciting one as it is packed with a lot of top designers and designer labels. One of these happens to be Roberto Cavalli who showed off his Spring 2012 rtw collection today. The collection includes lots of sequins and metallic colours with gold and silver taking over the catwalk the most aswell as featuring a popular trend of prints which made a mark too in the collection. To be honest i am not a huge fan of this collection as I do prefer more colour to metallic and black and the pieces in the collection aren’t something i would buy personally but i do like the 4th picture below of the black dress which i think is beautiful. Now its time to move to Milan where already many Global designers have took to the scene to display their Spring 2012 rtw collections to the world. One of those collections that have been shown is the D&G label’s Spring 2012 collection designed by Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce. This collection is just amazing and definitely took the clashing prints look into mind. There is a great use of colours including greens, yellows and orange which give it that spring/summer feel but its the prints that take over. The pieces use a variety of different designs including paisley pattern and there is a wide use of floral which has been seen all over the runway. Credit to Style.com for images.
