May Playlist

May-playlist-summer-music-beauty-lifestyle-blog-bloggerIt’s time to round up another month of music. This month I listened to a bit of a mix, I wasn’t really into listening to whole albums and instead a mix of different artists. With the sun coming out, I am loving a lot of upbeat tunes great for the Summer months. I am particularly loving the new song from Calvin Harris and Rihanna which I am sure I will be listening to all summer long! Justin Timberlake’s new tune also seems to be huge lately and another great upbeat track! On the other hand, I am also loving some more slower music from Adele and also Ed Sheeran who’s songs will never get old! Since I seen Busted this month live, I have also been enjoying listening to their old and newer music.

What have you been listening to lately?

May Goals

May-goals-blogger-lifestyle-2016

If I had to describe myself, I would probably say that I am a goal-orientated person. I always like to have some sort of either mental or written aims of what I would like to achieve in a space of time whether it be personally or academically. In order to get the best out of something and to avoid wasting too much time, setting goals can be very useful. I’ve covered annual goals here on the blog before but not necessarily monthly goals. I enjoy reading goal related posts and thought I would get involved too in sharing my goals for the month ahead however simple they may be.

  • Study hard
  • Ace my exams
  • Get my hands on the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette (yup, real life goal right there)
  • Clean out my Summer wardrobe
  • Reorganise my shelves

What do you wish to achieve this month? Do you like this new feature?

May Favourites

May Beauty FavouritesIt’s monthly favourites time again! As my Summer holidays begin I haven’t been wearing makeup on a daily basis but I did find some new gems this month that I have just fell in love with! Without further ado here are some of my much loved beauty bits from the month of May.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation – Nars has finally answered my foundation prayers. When it came to foundation I always struggled to find ‘the one’ but since this beauty came along my hunt may be over. I lusted over this for so long since its well and truly hyped and worth the hype it is! It blends like a dream, gives flawless coverage and has pretty good staying power too. The perfect foundation, more of my raves later though!

Essie Maximillian Strasse Her – This nail polish may come at no surprise after seeing my blog post in which I shared my love for it.  This minty-blue-grey hued shade is what I have had on my nails constantly over the month and I am obsessed. Like other Essie shades, its a great formula with pretty decent lasting power too. Love it!

Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Face Brush – Again this may have been another predictable option after I raved about it here. This brush also had a lot of hype surrounding it and I really wanted to pick it up for so long. It is just the perfect size for applying foundation and helps create such a flawless finish. As much as I loved my Real Techniques Buffing brush for foundation there is no going back now!

MAC Creme Cup – I’m so predictable. This month I really got drawn into the look of nude pink lips and this lipstick made a great addition to my collection. The cremesheen formula is smooth and creamy on the lips while the shade is the perfect soft pink great for everyday wear. Keep an eye on my blog next week, another nude lip is coming you way… surprising, not really! (Check my Creme Cup review here)

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish – This month I have really started to have a proper skincare routine after fumbling around with different products ever so often. One product I really wanted to try and pretty much needed was the ever so popular Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. As you will hear more about my love on this later this month I won’t go into too much detail but I do really like this. It makes my skin feel super soft and my skin hasn’t been this clear in ages!

What have you been loving this month?

May Playlist

May PlaylistWe are reaching the sixth month of the year… Woah we’re half way there… sorry couldn’t resist. Anyway this month has been a bit of a mix again in terms of my music playlist. As my first year at uni has finally concluded *hallelujah* I haven’t needed to dig out my earphones too much but I have definitely had some background music on the go. This month I have turned back to a favourite of mine: 5 Seconds of Summer or 5SOS. The Australian band released their debut album last year and its hella good. They’ve got quite the Busted style vibe going on, taking me well back to my grand childhood. I have also switched them on as a little preparation for next week as rather excitedly I am going to see them live, woo! I have seen them before when they supported 1D but now I am returning to see them as the main act. I’m pretty damn excited especially since I bought my tickets like a year ago! Also, I have rekindled my love for Mumford and Sons listening to some of their older tracks as well as a little listen into their new stuff. Its pretty good as you would expect if you are a fan of their music. There is also a few other tunes thrown in for good measure which I have also been loving this month.
