Life Lately #10

chloe faye, bag, chloe, chloe bag, chloe faye large bag, brown, leaves, autumn, flowers, fashion, styleIt’s end of the month time which only means one thing, another life lately roundup! Woo! ! This month I have decided to change things up a bit with the style of this post, I have also decided to stop doing my playlist posts and instead combine it in this post. So, please do let me know how you feel about the changes!

Life

Life has been pretty damn intense lately. I have had so many looming uni deadlines that have taken up so much of my time It’s been stressful but I’m sure anyone who has been or is in a similar situation will understand how rewarding it is to tick another item off the to do list! It is also half way through the first semester of the year which again is pretty damn crazy but the thought of powering through all the work is exciting stuff!

On a brighter note, it’s reaching my favourite time of year when the Christmas drinks come into Starbucks and the shops are filled with Christmas lights and all things christmassy. Can you tell I like Christmas!? Anyway, talking of Starbucks, the Pumpkin Spiced Frappuccino has made my entire month! Apologies if you are anti pumpkin spice but damn it is so good! I love the classic latte but the frappuccino beats it by a mile! If you haven’t tried it then definitely try one, fall vibes and all that!

Blogging

This month I cut down my blogging schedule to twice a week and it has been such a relief! I’ve definitely managed so much better now with less content and I do feel like some of the posts I have posted this month have been better quality and also posts that I have been meaning to post for ages have finally got their air time! My schedule is still pretty packed at the minute but I do hope that I can keep up with my schedule and also keep working to the best quality! In particular, I still want to work on my blog photography and try new things out!

TV/Music

Back to a more chilled happy topic, I haven’t been watching too much TV this month but I have been loving one series in particular. Easy has been top of my watch list this month. I mean it’s got Dave Franco in it so what’s not to love. It’s an original series by Netflix with each episode centred around a different situation and different characters. It focuses on love and that kinda thing, it is a laid back, easy watch, pun not intended. It is also a short series so a good choice for watching when you don’t have a lot of time!

In terms of music, there is quite a few songs that I’ve been loving this month. Not my usual taste but I do love a good catchy pop song from time to time!  Also, can we talk about Niall’s debut solo single, LOVE ❤

Catch up with October posts: Current Makeup Menu, Introduction to Kat Von D, Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks, Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette and Get That Glow With Becca.

How did you spend your month?

My Halloween Costume

IMG_4779[1]IMG_4808Hello everyone, Happy Halloween (a day late sorry) Anyway I hope you all had a good day whatever you did and I just wanted to share my costume for this year. I am hoping you have guessed from the picture that I indeed dressed up as Mary Poppins. It was a pretty simple outfit – I just teamed a white shirt with a black skater skirt and a red bow tie. Along side that I also added of course the black umbrella (which was pretty necessary last night considering it was raining – good choice I tell myself!) and the black hat. I used my River Island bowler hat and added a daisy headband from Claire’s and attached red pom poms which I got from Paperchase. I also put my hair into a bun at the side and went for a simple makeup look with black winged eyeliner and red lipstick. What did you wear for Halloween?

The Autumn Tag

TagIts finally Friday!! *Carlton dance* Anyway it’s been a while since my last tag and I thought it was time for another and nothing is more current than Fall. So in honour of my favourite season I have did a little Autumnal inspired tag. Please do try it out yourself! Enjoy 🙂 P.S Keep an eye on my posts.. more fall inspired stuff coming soon 😉

1. What’s your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks/Costa/Cafe Nero etc?

Unfortunately I am going to be like everyone else and go for the pretty obvious Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks. I am actually not a fan of coffee which sounds a bit daft but I just love this because it just has that perfect spice that reminds me of my love for Fall. I also love a good old hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream 🙂

2. Accessories – what do you opt for, scarf, boots, gloves?

I haven’t properly got in to the whole fall accessories yet but I am always a lover of ankle boots especially my brown ones for this season I mentioned in my September faves. I am also a huge scarf lover going all out this season with my thick monochrome dogtooth scarf and my cute tartan one.

3. Music – what’s your favourite music to listen to during Autumn?

I wouldn’t really say there is a significant change from usual but nothing beats soft acoustic music sitting by the fire eh? Also its the time of the year when One Direction release a new album.. and I am a HUGE fan so that will definitely be on my playlist (It always is though).

4. Perfume – what’s your favourite scent for this time of year?

I am not one of those people that have a specific scent for the time of year, I tend to stick to one fragrance, use it up, then buy something different just from what I like. However I really want my hands on Versace Crystal Noir asap.

5. Candles – what scents will you be burning this season?

Anything cinnamon! I have a couple of winter berry candles and I also love my Jelly Belly Toasted Marshmallow one ..mmm 🙂

6. What do you love most about Autumn?

I love autumn fashion. I really am not a fan of summer clothes, I find wearing shorts and t-shirts kinda boring but I love layering up in Autumn with chunky knits, flannel shirts and oversized coats. And of course the lead up to Christmas .. my favourite time of year. Stay tuned.. I may answer this question more thorough..

7. Favourite makeup look?

I love a berry lip especially Rimmel Kate Moss Matte 107 (obvious choice), I also love MAC Twig lips. For eyes I love bronze/browns shadows ..  basically the Naked palette to create a more softer smokey eye.

8. What are you looking forward to most in Autumn?

Difficult question, there is so many! I can’t wait for bonfire night next month to wrap up all cosy for the fireworks, layering up in all my new fall clothes and being able to rock a berry lip daily! And how can I forget Halloween.. my costume is already sorted!
