The Bag Wishlist

I’ve always been a bag kinda gal at heart, bags over shoes anyday! My dreams of owning a designer bag have existed for too many years now and I think it’s time I did something about that, right!? Being a Leo, I do have expensive taste and I do like a little bit of luxury so whilst a designer bag may require a good few wage slips, it is still something I am happy to invest in. You either get it or you don’t but for me it’s the kinda thing I like. Having got hooked onto luxury style YouTube channels which I mentioned here, I am ready to take the leap into saving for my first designer bag. So what is it going to be, well I thought I would show you some (yes just some) of the bags that have topped my wishlist!

Starting with the bag of dreams, a Chanel Classic Flap. Every bag lover needs a Chanel, right!? Now the price for Chanel is eye-watering and sadly it tends to increase year on year making it near impossible to buy one. However hopefully one day, whilst it is not on my immediate list (for obvious reasons) I will be able to visit a Chanel store in Paris (yup, going all out!) and pick up my very own. Then I will be one step closer to being LC, life goals right there!

Another bag of dreams that I just need in my life is the Saint Laurent Sac De Jour. This bag is simply beautiful, black grained leather possibly in size small please. Again it is one of the more pricier options on my list but having this bag would make me complete. Hopefully I can save up for this one once I graduate as a special treat cause you gotta treat yo self.

Now I mentioned that I prefer my bags over shoes but if there was one pair of shoes I would like to get my hands on then it would be the classic Valentino Rockstuds. Of course with those I need a bag to match, it’s only right! I adore the Valentino Rockstud Lock Shoulder Bags, particularly the light nude pink-y shade which would match my shoes obviously! The bag just looks so beautifully elegant with the gold hardware, I need!

I usually tend to avoid seasonal pieces and trend-led items and I would particularly advice to when opting for a spendy purchase however I have my eye on one. The Gucci Dionysus Shoulder bag is a classic but I have never really been a fan of the whole Gucci monogram style however I adore some of their Floral design options. It is a bit different and totally a statement piece but it is so beautiful! I have been actually really impressed by some the newer Gucci styles recently too!

Lastly, a much cheaper option than the rest, the Celine Trio. I adore the whole minimalistic Celine aesthetics and I just love how simple but chic this bag is. Everyone needs a good crossbody small style bag and this is such a great option. The three compartments is also incredibly handy but I can imagine pretty annoying when you have to get your bag searched! A good all rounder though!

What is on your bag wishlist?

Gucci: Fall 2014 RTW

Milan Fashion Week has been ongoing recently and last week the Gucci collection for Fall 2014 took to the runway. The collection was neat and polished with well tailored casual pieces without damaging Gucci’s trademark glamorous style. There was a strong inspiration from the sixties with short lengths and a-line cuts. Pastel shades also made an appearance in the collection with light pink, blues etc which seems to be popular for Fall 2014. Overall a very pretty collection and another strong form from Gucci. What do you think of this collection? The rest of the collection can be viewed at Style.com.

Milan Fashion Week:Gucci A/W 2012

God fashion week is flying past so quickly, its already Milan Fashion Week. Gucci took to the runway yesterday with a very dark vibe for fall with velvet designs and plum and dark greens making numerous showings . The collection was described as ‘romantic’ but with a darkness to it and not a cute romantic side but more glamourous from the plush materials and styles.  Go to Style.com for the rest of the collection. Best Dressed of the Golden Globes 2012

Can i first of all say sorry for the delay in this post i have just been so busy so sorry! Now anyway it was the golden globes about 2 weeks ago and there was some amazing and some not so amazing looks on the red carpet. So i will start off with the best. My first favorite which is probably my all round favorite is Nicole Kidman in this stunning metallic beaded Versace gown. I remember seeing this for the first time and thinking Wow ! that dress is just gorgeous and in comparison to all the other looks i had already seen i was thanking the lord for this cause its just amazing and looks great on Nicole. The gold colour goes great with her goldenish hair and she has accessoried well with just a simple gold bangle to keep the focus on the dress and a plain gold clutch.

Another one of my favorites is Paula Patton in this gorgeous bright yellow Monique Lhuillier mermaid gown. The colour is just beautiful and has been accessoried perfectly to allow the dress centre-stage with a simple small gold clutch and silver earrings and a bracelet to give it an even balance. The shape of the dress looks great too with it showing off her fabulous figure from its tightly wrapped design.

And last but not least Salma Hayek adds to my list of best dressed in this stunning Black and gold Gucci gown. Similar to the previous two she has kept accessories to a minimum and stuck with simple but still lovely Lorraine Schwartz gold earrings and a black clutch with a gold lining to keep the colour effects from the dress. Her hair also balances the look and makes it the perfect colour to add to the golden designed bodice of the dress.

Obsession: Obi Belts

First of all i have to apologize for only posting one post last month is because i forgot as i was pretty busy and got carried away with the lovely sunshine. But anyway to start August off I have an obsession post for all you. My obsession at the moment that you can see from the title is Obi Belts. If you have no idea what an obi belt is then its a belt (obviously) which has a sash design. The word ‘obi’ is Japanese which comes from the sash of a traditional Japanese dress. My obsession first started when i saw the Gucci Spring/Summer 2011 runway which featured a nice gold obi belt paired with its colour-block outfits. This look has been seen on a number of celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Kerry Washington and Camilla Belle. And I love it !! Below is 3 high street Obi belts which are all from ASOS.com they all have the same idea but as you see there is a black one, a colour block one and of course a gold one just like the Gucci one that i want so much !!
