Burberry Prorsum 4When it comes to London Fashion Week there is always one show I cannot wait to see, in fact its a show I am probably the most excited about for the whole of fashion week over all four cities. Nothing quite comes close to the show that Christopher Bailey puts on for Burberry Prorsum. Oh the things that I would do to get the chance to attend a show, a girl can dream, right!? As usual there was no disappointment in this collection and only added countless pieces to my “if I get rich wishlist”.

The collection was appropriately named “Patchwork, Pattern and Prints” and it was just that. There was quite a 60s boho chic vibe from the show with fringed ponchos and floral designs that had the hippy era written all over them. An Indian theme was also echoed throughout the collection through fringed details sported on skirts to boots and the use of suede was also apparent. Of course being a Burberry show there was indeed the classic trench coats which were seen featuring a range of floral designs.

Makeup wise, it was kept to a minimum. Models donned a fresh faced look with a soft smokey eye and nude lips. Overall, as usual another incredible show from Christopher Bailey and my favourite Fall 2015 collection from fashion week (so far). Check out the rest of the collection here.

Rebecca Taylor: Spring 2015 RTW

So New York Fashion Week has officially kicked off in style. It’s always a bit weird seeing all the spring designs of pastels and light materials when we are all in the midst of shopping for cosy knits and leather boots for fall but hey ho. Rebecca Taylor’s collection took to the runway in New York and screamed spring. The collection was full of typical spring trends of sweet pastel shades of pink, blue and lilac and floral prints. Trends from the 70s seemed to work its way into the collection with wide flares and tailored styles as well as a sort of festival bohemian vibe. The collection was very feminine and sophisticated and works as a great step up from the previous season. Overall if I could use two words to describe this collection I would say pretty and wearable, its just so lovely and cute and I could see these items being wore time and time again during spring. I need my hands on these pieces now! Credit to Vogue.com for images.

Now its time to move to Milan where already many Global designers have took to the scene to display their Spring 2012 rtw collections to the world. One of those collections that have been shown is the D&G label’s Spring 2012 collection designed by Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce. This collection is just amazing and definitely took the clashing prints look into mind. There is a great use of colours including greens, yellows and orange which give it that spring/summer feel but its the prints that take over. The pieces use a variety of different designs including paisley pattern and there is a wide use of floral which has been seen all over the runway. Credit to Style.com for images.
