Rebecca Taylor: Spring 2015 RTW

So New York Fashion Week has officially kicked off in style. It’s always a bit weird seeing all the spring designs of pastels and light materials when we are all in the midst of shopping for cosy knits and leather boots for fall but hey ho. Rebecca Taylor’s collection took to the runway in New York and screamed spring. The collection was full of typical spring trends of sweet pastel shades of pink, blue and lilac and floral prints. Trends from the 70s seemed to work its way into the collection with wide flares and tailored styles as well as a sort of festival bohemian vibe. The collection was very feminine and sophisticated and works as a great step up from the previous season. Overall if I could use two words to describe this collection I would say pretty and wearable, its just so lovely and cute and I could see these items being wore time and time again during spring. I need my hands on these pieces now! Credit to Vogue.com for images.

Giambattista Valli:Couture Fall 2013

Paris Fashion Week has been ongoing this week with the couture collections now lining up the catwalk. The Giambattista Valli collection took to the runway yesterday full of glamour and femininity. The collection opened to a selection of white dresses expressing purity and innocence and then slowly adapted to floral designs and prints capturing the idea of glamour and femininity. The final pieces raised the bar with extravagant gowns in bold yellow and red. Overall a stunning collection with pieces that would not look out of place at a red carpet event. Are you a fan of this collection ? To see all the runway shots go to Style.com.
