Fall 2014: The Boyfriend coat

If you haven’t seen the ‘Boyfriend coat’ then you must have been living in a cave for the past month as this has been the latest huge trend for this season. The typical winter coat has seen an update this year with oversized mannish style coats that ooze in sophistication and class. They are the perfect coats for winter; all snuggly and warm as well as being stylish and can be worn with pretty much anything for an effortless but chic look. I already have my eyes on one particular jacket from Topshop which I have listed below amongst many of my other favourites. Fall 2013 Trends: Oversized Coats

One of the biggest trends this season is oversized coats. Making an appearance in collections for Victoria Beckham, Celine, Carvin and many others this trend is huge this season and perfect for the colder weather. There is nothing more appealing than being wrapped up in a nice big coat during winter time and thats why I love this trend as these coats are the right way to go. Pastels have also been huge for this season and you may find that a lot of oversized coats out there feature the pastel trend to give the oversized menswear silhouette a more girly approach. The Perfect Coat for Winter

At this time of the year most people are spending there money on Christmas presents but there is one thing that we all have to invest in especially this season … a winter coat ! We all need a coat to survive in the cold weather in winter and now is the perfect time to buy yours if you haven’t already. Below i have selected 3 coats available online that i personally really like and think are perfect for the cold months ahead. The first one is this gorgeous collarless coat from ASOS which is available in Green (as pictured ) and in red. I love this coat as it looks great and looks perfect for winter. The second coat is slightly cheaper from Forever21 and is in a on-trend mustard colour which is my favorite feature of the coat and the last coat i have selected is this fabulous leather sleeved trench coat from the one and only – Burberry line Burberry London available at Net-a-Porter.com.
