Grammy Awards 2014: Best Dressed

Sunday saw the biggest stars in music hit the red carpet for music’s biggest award ceremony in some spectacular gowns. Below are my top 5 looks from the Grammys. What do you think? Who was your best dressed from the Grammys?

First on the list is actress Anna Faris who looked fantastic in this simple but chic Royal Blue Fitriani gown.

Fellow actress Anna Kendrick also looked amazing in this white embellished Azzaro dress.

Next, Beyonce looked spectacular in this white and nude lace dress by Michael Costello which flattered her amazing figure ever so well and was well suited with a red lip.

Chrissy Teigen looked shimmering in this strapless glittery Johanna Johnson gown. I want to wear this, that is all!

And last but not least is country singer Miranda Lambert who looked stunning in this plunging red Pamella Roland gown which excelled in old Hollywood glamour.

Best Dressed of the Grammy Awards 2013

It was a busy night last night with both the Grammy Awards in LA and the BAFTAs in London. Firstly the Grammy Awards were a hit with many stars coming out on top in the fashion stakes. This has got to be my favorite of them all. Rihanna. Similar to last year the pop princess has stole the show again in this stunning red custom Azzedine Alaia dress. Her hair looks amazing as well and her loose waves compliment the red dress nicely as well as the red lipstick which brings the whole look together.

Next, Beyonce looked fantastic in this Osman pantsuit which is right on trend with the Monochrome look.  One thing i love about this is that she has chose to be original and instead of going for a gown she has went for the trendy and unique pantsuit which she looks stunning in.

Katy Perry also adds to the list who looked glamorous in a gorgeous mint green Prada gown. The dress had a stunning embellished neckline and a keyhole cutout at the top to add attention and detail to the simple but yet amazing gown.

And last but least was country singer Carrie Underwood who vowed in this stunning black Roberto Cavalli gown. This dress just oozes class and glam, its simply incredible. The dress has beautiful lace detail and was topped off with a stunning diamond necklace which is worth a staggering $31 million. Wow!

 

My Favorite looks of 2011

As 2011 is drawing to a close, looking overall at the fashion from the year there has been highs and lows. First looking at the highs there has been many but i have chose 3 looks that I remember from the year for being outstanding and simply beautiful. I may have posted about these looks before and I’m sure you will at least remember one of them or even two.

Yep the first one is Kate Middleton wearing this stunning light pink Jenny Packham sequined gown. C’mon you just had to mention her, Kate has had a unbelievable year after getting married and is now seen as a huge style icon. Personally i don’t see the whole style icon thing about her and sometimes I feel she dresses a little older than she should but while i wouldn’t say i would change my mind looking at this outfit but i do adore it ! It is very beautiful and looks amazing on  her, there is nothing more i can really say but this is a great look from 2011.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I always remember this first time i seen this outfit and thinking WOW! thats just amazing ! This outfit was very special to Beyonce as this is what she wore when she announced her pregnancy at the MTV VMAs in August.  The gown is by Lanvin and is a very beautiful bright shade of orange which i love most about this dress. Beyonce has perfectly accessoried this dress not making over did or under did but just the right balance with her stunning dangling earrings and her hair adds to this by being beautifully sweeped to the side.  This outfit has got to be one of or even my favorite outfit worn by Beyonce.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I just couldn’t miss this look out! This is Jennifer Hudson at the 2011 Grammy Awards wearing the most gorgeous navy blue coloured Versace dress. I actually can’t describe how much i love this dress its just sooo amazing. Just like Beyonce, Jennifer’s hair looks beautiful to compliment the outfit and i really can’t say anything else its that good !

VMAs 2011 Best Dressed

The annual MTV Video Music Awards took place on Sunday and as usual made big headlines but not for Lady Gaga’s outfit even though she was dressed up as a man it was due to the fact that Beyonce is pregnant !! Yip the singer announced at the awards that she is expecting so Congrats 🙂 but anyway to the fashion of the night. I have to say the stars did quite well and i was impressed with the little ‘worst dressed’ outfits so that was good. Here i have chose 3 of my fave outfits from the night. First of all is of course Beyonce in this gorgeous orange Lanvin gown which looks amazing. The bright tone of the dress goes perfectly with her dark skin tone so Beyonce definitely gets a thumbs up. The next one is actress Victoria Justice in this sparkling  Theia dress which is stunning. She teamed the dress with a gold clutch and some gold pumps which just looked amazing. Victoria appears to be a underdog of the fashion stakes right now and I can’t wait to see what she wears next! The last but not least celeb on my list is Kelly Rowland who dazzled in this Falguni & Shane Peacock dress teamed with Louboutin heels. I have to say i love what she is wearing it suits her so well and like Beyonce the gold colour from the dress goes great with her skin tone and she just looks simply amazing. What do you think ?
