Latest In Beauty: Origins Mix and Mask Box

origins-skincare-box-beauty-skin-mask-face-latest-in-beauty-british-bloggerWho would’ve thought that I would be once again discussing another beauty box in the same month. Oh yes I have found another great beauty box buy from Latest in Beauty, catch up with the Summer box I reviewed here. This time however, Latest in Beauty have teamed up with Origins who have created a box alongside British Beauty Blogger Jane. As soon as my eyes clapped on to this box, I just knew I had to have it! I love Origins products and just recently I have been trying some bits out so of course to see I could try some more out was very exciting!

origins-mix-mask-face-skin-skincare-latest-beauty-box-british-beauty-blogger-janeLike the Summer Edit box, this one also retails for £20 plus has free shipping which again is such an incredible bargain. I do hate to be that person however and say that the box is now sadly sold out! It really is such a great buy and it is no surprise really that it has sold out however Origins themselves are really great at doing little gift sets to let you try out different products. The box is centred around different types of face masks to suit different needs with some of Origins’ most popular and best selling products included.

However starting with the non face mask product first, their popular VitaZing SPF15 moisturiser is included in full size form. Origins have really impressed me with their moisturisers and this is definitely one of them. I had heard a lot about this one but I hadn’t really bothered too much about trying it. The feels super firming and moisturising on the skin but also leaves a beautiful radiant finish, I am loving this one so far!

origins-skincare-face-masks-moisturiser-products-beauty-skin-latest-boxOn to the more mask-y related products, firstly is an exciting new concept from Origins; the Maskimizer Mask Primer. Essentially you spray this before applying a face mask and it ensures you get the best out of your mask. It is a rather gimmicky concept but is rather intriguing, I have used it once but I am looking forward to trying it out more, it may be a tricky one to test though! Speaking of new releases, the box also includes their latest face mask By All Greens which is a foaming cleansing mask. It is quite different from other masks I’m used to but I quite liked it from first use so this is definitely one I am excited about! Alongside the newbies, there is also two 30ml sized tubes of the classic Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask and also the newer Original Skin Rose Clay mask which I am very excited to try! Another new addition to the Origins range is the GinZing peel off mask which joins the very popular GinZing range, another product that I am very excited to try! I mean c’mon it’s copper coloured! Lastly, is the nice addition of three travel friendly sized pods of the Clear Improvement, Out of Trouble and Drink Up 10 minute mask. Overall a great box of goodies!

Latest In Beauty: The Glamour Summer Edit

latest-in-beauty-glamour-summer-edit-box-beauty-makeup-oribe-revlon-nuxe-st-tropez-sun-makeup-skincare

I’ve spoke briefly about my thoughts on beauty boxes before but basically I am not the biggest fan. Particularly subscription services were you pay a set amount each month to receive a box full of surprise goodies that end up being repeated products or from brands that even beauty bloggers haven’t heard of. Even though they might be decent value, the cost adds up each month and I would rather spend the money on a product I actually wanted! Putting my moaning aside, there is some beauty boxes I can handle. Those that offer one-off buy boxes full of desirable goodies are well up my street and Latest In Beauty always deliver in that. In fact, I mentioned one of their previous boxes before here and now I am going to share my thoughts on their Summer box in collaboration with Glamour. Lets just say this is a beauty box to get excited about.

The box itself retails for £20 which is a complete bargain considering the range of brands available and the price of some of the products individually. Overall the box is also worth £104 which means you make an incredible saving! Inside is a variety of skincare, haircare and makeup items all appropriate for the Summer weather. Starting with haircare and makeup since there is only one product in each category but nevertheless both of which are super exciting additions to the box. Everyone’s favourite Dry Texturizing Spray from Oribe is included in a handy 75ml travel size. This alone is worth £19 so nearly the entire cost of the box which is pretty amazing. I have always wanted to give this cult product a go but the price has always been off-putting so I am looking forward to putting this to the test.

In the makeup category, they have included one of the new-ish Matte Lip colours from Revlon in the shade Devotion. This is another popular product that I have had my eye on for a while so I am very glad that this is included. I haven’t gave it a go yet but the raspberry pink shade looks gorgeous and it even smells delicious too.

latest-in-beauty-box-glamour-summer-edit-st-tropez-tan-makeup-cleanser-oribe-texturising-sprayMoving onto the skincare/bodycare bits included in the box. I was super excited to see a little mini of the Aurelia Miracle Cleanser and a little Muslin Cloth. I have heard a lot of positives about this brand but never tried any of their products until now. I have gave this cleanser a go and it is beautifully creamy with a lovely scent, it might not be as luxurious as my Oskia cleanser but I think I will like this one! Also included is a sheet mask from WOW, I love a good face mask but I’ve never gave into the whole sheet mask thing so I am looking forward to giving this a go. It’s a brand I’ve never came across before but the claims are pretty strong so hopefully it delivers on its promises!

On to the more body targeted products, I’ve not tried much from the brand Nuxe except their cult lip balm so I was happy to see one of their products included. Their Prodigieux Shower Oil sounds perfect for Summer as it leaves you with a beautiful golden shimmer. I am definitely looking forward to trying this! As well as that, if you are looking to getting your limbs in tip top shape for the Summer, coffee scrubs seem to be all the rage at the moment so obviously one was included! This is from the brand Grounded Body Scrub and is in a Chocolate Orange scent, yummy! It seems a bit messy but I look forward to seeing what all the hype is about!

latest-in-beauty-lib-beauty-box-glamour-summer-beauty-makeup-revlon-liquid-lipstick-face-mask-coffee-scrub-skincareLastly, is two very summer appropriate items to keep you looking tanned and protected in the sun. The first is from cult tanning brand St Tropez and is their Bronzing Mist. I am not a huge tanning person so this is the first product I will be trying from the brand but I am loving the sound of it. Being a mist, I am assuming this will be a much lighter tan and it is also appears to be super easy to use so I can’t wait to give this a go to keep on top of my Summer tan. Finally, what is Summer without a good SPF. The box includes a 150ml size of the Ladival Sun Protection Spray in SPF30 so offers good protection and is something we all need come Summer! If only I had this in time for my holidays!

Feel Unique Radiant Skin Beauty Box

Feel Unique Beauty BoxFeel Unique Beauty Box Radiant SkinFeel Unique Radiant SkinI’ve never been one of those people who are incredibly interested in beauty boxes. I like buying products that I know I specifically want rather than wasting money on getting a surprise filled box of products I might not even be interested in. Although a number of brands have started one-off beauty boxes rather than subscriptions giving you great deals on products and importantly letting you know what you are buying. Feel Unique is one of those offering a collection of non-subscription beauty boxes. The one that stole my heart was the Radiant Skin box packed of four skincare products, all of which I was very excited to try. The great thing about these boxes is that instead of paying full price for a product you can try it out first along with other products making it great value for money. This box was definitely the definition of great value. I only got this box a few weeks ago so I haven’t had the most use out of all the products yet but I thought I would give you all my first impressions of each of the products.

The Radiant Skin box retails for £35 which is amazing considering the actual value of the contents works out at £70.50. Considering one of the products in the box is valued at £32, it really is a bargain! That product in topic is the first pick of the box, the Ren Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial. This is a product I’ve wanted to try for the longest time and I was super excited to see a full size included in the box. It’s a product that is pretty difficult to define. It acts really as a skin treatment used after cleansing and it’s suggested to be used every 3 days. The texture of it is pretty unusual. It feels really grainy and has a gel like consistency with a pleasant zesty scent. Basically with this product you apply it then massage it with damp fingers and leave for a minute before rinsing off. As you rinse it off you can feel your skin feeling firm and very tightened. After completely washing off it leaves your skin feeling super smooth. I haven’t had a lot of use out of this so I can’t really say whether its done a lot for my skin yet. Although you can definitely feel it working as you apply it.

Another product I got so excited to see included was the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads, a product I’ve been so desperate to get my hands on! The box included the 28 pads size tub which is great as each pad has plenty of product and you can actually get two uses out of each pad. The radiance pads essentially are pre-soaked cotton pads to exfoliate, tone and brighten the skin. There isn’t any alcohol in the product so it doesn’t feel stripping on the skin and leaves your skin feeling very soft and smooth. I’ve only used these a few times but I love how they make my skin feel after using them. I am definitely going to keep using these and hope they help clear my skin. Although so far so good!

Also included was the Caudalie Beauty Elixir, an incredibly popular product in the beauty world. Its a product I’ve also been keen to try but I wasn’t really sure if it was worth it essentially being one of those ‘fancy’ waters. It has such a lovely scent with an overpower of mint which feels super fresh on the skin. The box includes a handy 30ml size bottle which is perfect for traveling or on the go. It is such a fine mist so it doesn’t feel too wet or sticky on the skin, it just adds a little boost of hydration. It feels super refreshing and it’s supposed to be pretty good as a makeup base or after applying makeup but so far I’ve only worn this alone on makeup free days or at night. So this is definitely a product I need to try out a little more!

Lastly, a mini 15g of GlamGlow’s Youth Mud mask was also included. This was the tingle exfoliant mask which as it suggests creates a tingling feeling on the skin. The mask is quite thick in texture and soon drys down on the skin with a tingly tightening feeling. Being an exfoliating mask it isn’t the most comfortable on the skin especially as it starts to feel tingly. It definitely makes your skin feel tightened but also leaves your skin feeling comfortable and smooth after removing it. The full size is very pricey like all Glam Glow products so if I were to repurchase this I would be expecting miracles from it. Although so far even though it leaves my skin feeling nice, I don’t feel like it has done anything dramatic. It’s one I am going to need to keep testing but I am still not too sure.

Latest in Beauty Get The Gloss Beauty Insiders Kit

IMG_6451Apologies for the longest blog post name ever. I am not going to lie, I am not the biggest fan of beauty boxes. I just don’t like the idea of spending money on a box of products that I never wanted in the first place and from brands I had never heard of but I guess I slightly caved when I seen this one from Latest in Beauty. Packed full of well known branded goodies, some of which I had been lusting over for ages I just couldn’t say no. The best bit of course being the price at only £19 (excl. p&p) with the whole box being worth a jawdropping £116.

There is a good mix of products in the box from skincare to beauty. Starting with the Therapie Roques Oneil Cherish Skin Repair Serum (30ml). This is my first encounter with this brand and I’ve been loving giving this a try. The body serum firstly smells amazing and is for helping to heal the skin especially during the harsh winter. The Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate (10ml) comes next and is the serum in need of tackling signs of aging. It is a pricey one though if you were to get the full size! The James Read Sleep Mask Tan (25ml) is also included which is a brand I’ve never heard of. I am really not a fan of any tanning products but I will give this a little go despite being a little worried about the whole overnight thing, waking up looking like an oompa loompa is a terrifying thought! I do love a good oil product so I was quite happy to see an appearance of the Balance Me Radiance Face Oil (10ml). It comes in a handy rollerball and creates such a radiance on the skin. Finally, probably the most exciting skincare product is the GlamGlow Supermud Clearing Treatment (10g). I’ve heard a lot about this brand and was super excited to see it included. I have tried this out, it does smell horrible but that aside I do really like it. It made my skin feel so incredibly soft, shame there isn’t a lot of product.

On to beauty products. The Daniel Sandler Concealer Brush was included in the box and is quite a thin and dainty brush. I have tried this and I am not the biggest fan, it is too small for my liking as I prefer a slightly larger brush for concealer. Two Essie Nail polishes (5ml) made their way in too in the shades Shearling Darling and Parka Perfect , a dark maroon and a grey shade. They are so up my street! Moving on to the product that made me purchase the box altogether; the Laura Mercier Foundation Primer (30ml). This primer alone retails for £19, the price of the box and after lusting over it for so long this was the prime reason for picking up this box. I haven’t fully tried this yet but I like it so far and it is quite different from any other primer I have used. It is a very lightweight gel texture and glides smoothly on the skin. Last but not least the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner (2g, full-size). Being a huge eyeliner fan I had been dying to try this for ages and couldn’t believe my luck at seeing a full sized product in this box. Sadly though it didn’t quite live up to expectation. It has such a fine nib but unfortunately I found it hard to work with and it felt like it was dragging my skin rather than gliding on like my Soap and Glory one does. A no-no from me on that one.

While there was a couple of no-go’s I did find some gems and I can’t wait to start using them properly.

Unfortunately this box is now sold out.
