New York is where it has all been happening as New York Fashion Week has sprung. We are nearing the end of NYC before the Spring 2014 looks hit the London catwalk and yesterday Badgley Mischka took to the runway. Spring was all over this collection with the idea of lounging by the French Rivera which this collection fitted to a tee. The early pieces shown were very luxurious looking and would look perfect lounging on a yacht with the royal blues and whites while the later pieces were more formal and beachy with pastel shades and mermaid silhouettes. Badgley Mischka always seems to get it right and this collection is no exception with a rather splendid view on Spring. Below are some pieces from the collection. As NYFW comes to a close, one collection that proved a hit was Badgley Mischka. After last season’s collection I have to say I have grown rather fond of the Badgley Mischka line and this season is no exception. This collection is very feminine with figure-hugging designs and embellished gowns. If I had to use one word to describe this collection it would be exquisite, the gowns are oscar-worthy and there is so much beautiful embellishments and detailing in this collection – Its fantastic! Here below are some shots from the runway show. Are you a fan of this collection ? To see all the runway shots go to Style.com. Credit to Style.com for images.
I think i have just gained a new fave designer..wow I’m blown away! Yep Badgley Mischka just wow. I never have paid much attention to Badgley Mischka but after having a look at the Spring 2013 collection today i do not know why i never looked paid attention to them, the designs were absolutely stunning to say the least. This collection has a very girly look of course through the long flowing dresses and the pretty nude tones and fairytale blues. Again as i have been previously saying in other posts from FW that Spring 2013 has a lot of muted tones with low use in bold colour which makes a small appearance in some collections, this Badgley Mischka collection is the same with a main use in nude and light tones with a spot of bold colour. So far this has to be my favorite show from FW, breathtaking collection. Below are some pictures from the show. The rest of the collection can be seen at Style.com. Last night was the SAG Awards in Los Angeles and of course forgetting the winners our eyes were cast on the gowns of the night. So here is the Best dressed of the night. Credit to ladderedtights10.blogspot, ibtimes and celebuzz for images.
My first favorite and probably favorite overall was Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara in this breath taking fuchsia strapless gown by Marchesa . I really can’t explain how stunning this dress is the picture says it all. It has a ruched designed bodice which flows into a draping skirt. The dress looks perfect on Sofia and shows her amazing figure.
My next favorite is The Help actress Viola Davis in this white Grecian style gown by Marchesa aswell. The gown has a golden embroidered strapless bodice which comes into a flowing white skirt. This dress is beautiful and has been well accessoried by keeping it simple with a basic bangle, earrings and a small clutch keeping the attention to the gown.
My third favorite is Kelly Osbourne. This actually seems quite a shock to me as comparing this look to her previous looks including her Golden Globe gown which didn’t go down too well this gown just looks amazing and so sleek and polished on her. The white gown was designed by Badgley Mischka which had beautiful detail on the shoulders aswell as the gathered waist from the gold and white tied belt that looks gorgeous and gives it the finishing touch.
