While she may be known for her popular music the one thing that is always hitting the headlines though is her unusual and quirky style. Now she is about to show what she really has in the fashion world as she is going to launch a clothing line with her sister Natali Germanotta (Pictured below left) who has just completed her first year studying fashion design at Parsons The New School for Design in New York. After John Galliano got sacked from his job at Dior for alleged racial abuse there has been much speculation that Louis Vuitton designer Marc Jacobs could be set to take over Dior. If this was to happen it would be expected that Phoebe Philo responsible for the Céline label would take over as she is part of the LVMH label which owns the three brands. First of all i have to apologize for only posting one post last month is because i forgot as i was pretty busy and got carried away with the lovely sunshine. But anyway to start August off I have an obsession post for all you. My obsession at the moment that you can see from the title is Obi Belts. If you have no idea what an obi belt is then its a belt (obviously) which has a sash design. The word ‘obi’ is Japanese which comes from the sash of a traditional Japanese dress. My obsession first started when i saw the Gucci Spring/Summer 2011 runway which featured a nice gold obi belt paired with its colour-block outfits. This look has been seen on a number of celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Kerry Washington and Camilla Belle. And I love it !! Below is 3 high street Obi belts which are all from ASOS.com they all have the same idea but as you see there is a black one, a colour block one and of course a gold one just like the Gucci one that i want so much !! This months pick of the month is these pair of gorgeous high waisted shorts from Miss Selfridge. Since summer is in brights are taking over our wardrobe and this is a perfect addition with its bold and in trend coral colour. I came across these shorts in the Fabulous Magazine and i loved them and they were paired with a lovely blouse aswell. When i checked to see where they were from it said Miss Selfridge so i checked up online and I found them ! And even better after being £28.00 they are now reduced to £15 !! Woo Hoo ! 🙂 but the only bad thing is that atm only sizes 6 and 16 are in stock so other sizes may have to wait. Credit to Miss Selfridge for image.

As Glastonbury is already under way millions of people are hitting the shops for the finest looks to wear to all the great music festivals over the world. And you can team it with this amazing plastic raincoat from ASOS which comes in 3 colours Yellow, Blue and Red at £50.00 – it may seem expensive but it’s perfect not just for festivals but for everyday wear and it has a very stylish look. The third letter of my A-Z of fashion is of course C which is for Couture. It may not be a need to us but if we never had couture then there would be a huge gap in the fashion world. Couture which is otherwise known as Haute Couture which is french for high dressmaking as its high quality. A list of designers release a haute couture line including Christian Dior, Elie Saab ( My Personal Favorite) , Valentino etc . Without couture some of those A-list stars would not have wore those show-stopping pieces at the Oscars ! P.S Below is a dress from the Givenchy Spring 2011 Couture Collection .
