My Least Favorite looks of 2011

Well , with every best dressed there is always a worst dressed … This year may have shown some beautiful outfits but there was definitely not so beautiful outfits aswell. Below i have selected 3 of my least favorite looks and really the pictures explain for themselves, I don’t think I really need to do much explaining to why these looks didn’t make the good list.  Can i also just add that this will be my last post of 2011 so can I just say a big Happy New Year to all my readers and i hope 2012 is a good year for you all and a big thank to your contribution to the blog. My Favorite looks of 2011

As 2011 is drawing to a close, looking overall at the fashion from the year there has been highs and lows. First looking at the highs there has been many but i have chose 3 looks that I remember from the year for being outstanding and simply beautiful. I may have posted about these looks before and I’m sure you will at least remember one of them or even two.

Yep the first one is Kate Middleton wearing this stunning light pink Jenny Packham sequined gown. C’mon you just had to mention her, Kate has had a unbelievable year after getting married and is now seen as a huge style icon. Personally i don’t see the whole style icon thing about her and sometimes I feel she dresses a little older than she should but while i wouldn’t say i would change my mind looking at this outfit but i do adore it ! It is very beautiful and looks amazing on  her, there is nothing more i can really say but this is a great look from 2011.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I always remember this first time i seen this outfit and thinking WOW! thats just amazing ! This outfit was very special to Beyonce as this is what she wore when she announced her pregnancy at the MTV VMAs in August.  The gown is by Lanvin and is a very beautiful bright shade of orange which i love most about this dress. Beyonce has perfectly accessoried this dress not making over did or under did but just the right balance with her stunning dangling earrings and her hair adds to this by being beautifully sweeped to the side.  This outfit has got to be one of or even my favorite outfit worn by Beyonce.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I just couldn’t miss this look out! This is Jennifer Hudson at the 2011 Grammy Awards wearing the most gorgeous navy blue coloured Versace dress. I actually can’t describe how much i love this dress its just sooo amazing. Just like Beyonce, Jennifer’s hair looks beautiful to compliment the outfit and i really can’t say anything else its that good !

Christmas Time !

Tomorrow is Christmas ! Can you actually believe this day is just around the corner !? To me I still feel October-ish ! The Perfect Coat for Winter

At this time of the year most people are spending there money on Christmas presents but there is one thing that we all have to invest in especially this season … a winter coat ! We all need a coat to survive in the cold weather in winter and now is the perfect time to buy yours if you haven’t already. Below i have selected 3 coats available online that i personally really like and think are perfect for the cold months ahead. The first one is this gorgeous collarless coat from ASOS which is available in Green (as pictured ) and in red. I love this coat as it looks great and looks perfect for winter. Pick of the Month:November 2011

This months pick of the month is this amazing winter cardigan from Boohoo.com. I just love this ! Its perfect for winter with its reindeer design and its thick knitted material, its makes you so into the festive spirit 🙂 Its available as i said from boohoo.com and is £25 / €30. It would look amazing with some rust coloured or maroon coloured skinny jeans and just a plain top as the cardi carries off the print meaning there is no need for any underneath. Fashion Debate: Is the Duchess of Cambridge dressing too old ?

Kate Middleton’s style is something that divides us all – some say she looks amazing and is a style icon while others say she dresses like a 40 year old but what do you think ? To be honest when i saw this picture of her (below) at a charity gala this week i have to say she does look like she is in her late 30s or early 40s when actually she is only 29 ! If you think of the way celebrities who are older than her like Kim Kardashian or Beyonce dress – its completely different  – now i’m not saying she should strut about with Hermes Birkin bags in a skin tight revealing Herve Leger dress with 6inch Louboutins on but not any other 29 year old or someone around that age with the her same usual v-neck wrap dresses aging her at least 10 years. Her weight also seems to be a problem as in this picture you can tell how skinny she is and that the dress just hangs on her and if she put on more weight she would wear clothes better and her face would be more fuller that would make her look younger rather than older than she really is. Spotted: Pick of the Month

As i told you before after i posted about this month’s Pick of the Month which was the very unique dress from Mary Katrantzou that i become obsessed with the designer i became a little excited when i spotted this exact dress wore by a celebrity. I seen it on LeeLee Sobieski (who is an actress) and she wore it to the opening night of the 2011 Metropolitan Opera Season in New York last night.  Below is a picture of the dress on her and from the runway. Pick of the Month:September 2011

As fall kicks in one of the big trends this season is clashing prints and this is exactly what this dress is all about ! This dress may look odd with all its unusual prints which explains why this dress was the talk of London Fashion Week FW11 but i just love this dress its an eye-catching and bold dress that will stand out from the crowd. VMAs 2011 Best Dressed

The annual MTV Video Music Awards took place on Sunday and as usual made big headlines but not for Lady Gaga’s outfit even though she was dressed up as a man it was due to the fact that Beyonce is pregnant !! Yip the singer announced at the awards that she is expecting so Congrats 🙂 but anyway to the fashion of the night. I have to say the stars did quite well and i was impressed with the little ‘worst dressed’ outfits so that was good. Here i have chose 3 of my fave outfits from the night. First of all is of course Beyonce in this gorgeous orange Lanvin gown which looks amazing. The bright tone of the dress goes perfectly with her dark skin tone so Beyonce definitely gets a thumbs up. The next one is actress Victoria Justice in this sparkling  Theia dress which is stunning. She teamed the dress with a gold clutch and some gold pumps which just looked amazing. Victoria appears to be a underdog of the fashion stakes right now and I can’t wait to see what she wears next! The last but not least celeb on my list is Kelly Rowland who dazzled in this Falguni & Shane Peacock dress teamed with Louboutin heels. I have to say i love what she is wearing it suits her so well and like Beyonce the gold colour from the dress goes great with her skin tone and she just looks simply amazing. What do you think ?
