The Nude Lip

The nude lipAs someone who has a lot of loving for lip products sometimes it can be rather overwhelming when picking a shade for the day. A nude lip is the definition of a fail safe option. Appropriate for during the day for a minimal makeup look or teamed with a smoky eye at night, the nude lip is a classic that every makeup lover should have in their collection. After dabbling in various lip choices, I have finally found a trio of lip products that make up my perfect nude lip.

Starting with lip liner, the well loved Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk made it’s way into my life recently and I am loving it. The formula is perfect, it glides on easily over the lips and really helps to enhance the shape of the lips. The colour is beautiful too, it can easily be defined as a ‘my lips but better’ shade, a gorgeous rosy pink hue.

Another Charlotte Tilbury product makes my nude lip trio (cause CT is queen obvs!) namely her limited edition *sad face* matte revolution lipstick in Miss Kensington from her Norman Parkinson collection. I’ve spoke about my love for her matte range numerous times but they really are exceptional. The formulas of these lipsticks are beautiful, super creamy and moisturising on the lips whilst still having the qualities of a matte lipstick without the drying texture. The colour really is gorgeous too. It’s not too light toned that it appears washed out on my pale skin but doesn’t appear too bold or dark either. It’s similar to Pillow Talk in a light rosy pink colour.

Lastly, whilst I am not the biggest lip gloss fan I had to mention this gorgeous gloss from Tanya Burr which completes my classic nude lip. The shade Chic is a beautiful soft pink hue that works perfectly with the CT duo. For days when I am not feeling a matte look the gloss adds a beautiful sheen to create a pretty girly nude lip. The formula is so nice too, it doesn’t feel incredibly sticky on the lips and the doe foot applicator is great for adding just the right amount of product.

    • Ah thats annoying! You can get Tanya Burr on the Feel Unique website and I am pretty sure they have good international shipping! It’s annoying sometimes though when you can’t see it in store!
