Chanel Rouge Coco Cecile

After that nail polish purchase, it looks like I made another trip to the Chanel counter. I am getting pretty good at that now. If there is one item every beauty lover needs in their makeup collection it is a trusty Chanel lipstick. The luxurious black and gold packaging with the Chanel logo on the lid is ever so exciting to pull out of your handbag for reapplication. They really are so dreamy just to look at.

However at £26 a pop, they are pretty darn expensive! For a brand like Chanel however you could only expect a cost like that. Luckily for me though after building up my Boots Advantage Points over the last while I reached enough to pick up this beauty on points rather than pounds, score!

The timing couldn’t have been any more perfect too as Chanel just recently reinvented their lipstick range with a new formula and range of shades. The range is also very personal to Coco Chanel with each shade named after someone special in her life. After dabbling between a few, I finally picked Cecile, a soft rosy pink shade. As one of the pinks, these shades are to represent her best friends.

The formula is incredibly hydrating but also offers a good level of pigmentation. It is very creamy and smooth on application and they are pretty good in terms of long lasting especially for a moisturising and light lipstick. I now have my eyes on another few shades from the range, lets just say it won’t be long before I am at that counter again…
