It hard to believe London Fashion Week is over, that must have been the shortest fashion week ever. Anyway before I move on to Milan its time to look at one of the final collections shown at LFW this week. This collection is by the fabulous Christopher Kane who for me is always really a hit or a miss, sometimes he produces fantastic collections and other times not so much, don’t get me wrong though while some of his designs might not be to my liking I will never deny the amazing talent and creativity of this great designer. I was reading a bit about this collection and his inspirations and I discovered that this collection was actually created in tribute to his late friend and professor Louise Wilson. It is quite touching and rather lovely actually reading about it as his collection incorporated materials such as cord, rope and coils in which he used in his early days when he was a student. The collection also had a ‘back to school’ vibe about it using colours from his old school uniform and having a sophisticated and classy style about it which I love. Overall I am very impressed with this collection, I loved the idea of bringing his past into it but making it present. It’s a hit for me 🙂 Credit to Vogue.com for images.
